Community Matters – Giving Back at Heart of Chelsea

The Heart Of Chelsea 1

As 2020 rolls in, we’ve been thinking about the ways Heart of Chelsea can continue to positively impact our local communities. We don’t often talk about it, but investing in our neighbors and like-minded organizations is important to us! We love playing an active role by investing in our two and four-legged friends. It feels great – and it’s been part of what’s helped us grow and expand over the last 20 years in New York City.

From making financial gifts to local theaters, youth and senior facilities, sponsoring the annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade and Greenwich Village little league teams to partnering with animal welfare organizations – we are inspired to make contributions both big and small.

Here are some of the great organizations Heart of Chelsea has had the pleasure of supporting!

Alive Inside Organization
Connecting adults with Alzheimer’s to their memories through music.

Dixon Place Theater
A non-profit theater providing artists with opportunities at all stages of creative development.

Little Missionary’s Day Nursery
Founded in 1896, helping the youngest of children by focusing on their educational development.

Tompkins Square Halloween Parade
29 years of costumed shenanigans funds the operation and upkeep of the Tompkins Square dog run.

Greenwich Village Little League
Helping almost 900 girls and boys play sports year-round.

Rescue Dogs Rock
Saving abused and at-risk dogs from kill shelters and providing them with loving, vetted homes.

Best Friends Animal Society
Operating the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals and working with regional centers around the country to reduce the number of animals entering shelters.

Sometimes, building community can be as small as saying ‘Hi!’ From the littlest Cavapoo to the largest Mastiff, we love handing out treats from the cookie jars at the front desk. No need to book an appointment; just stop by whenever you’re in the neighborhood. Thank you to all of our wonderful clients and neighborhood partners who have allowed us to be a part of your lives. We treasure every partnership, and wish you all happiness and good health in 2020 and beyond!
