Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group Celebrates 24 Years of Serving the Community of New York City

Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group is proud to commemorate a remarkable milestone: 24 years of unwavering commitment to the pets and people of New York City! Since 1999, we have remained devoted to providing exceptional veterinary care and fostering strong bonds with our clients. Our team of compassionate veterinarians and skilled support staff have consistently prioritized the welfare and vitality of our patients.

From humble beginnings, Dr. Siebert and his support team began serving a small, tight-knit community at our flagship location on West 18th Street. Over time, our family has flourished, expanding to a network of four fully operational hospitals spread across New York City.

Today, we are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association and proudly employ 23 experienced veterinarians and over 100 expert team members. Over the years, we have been privileged to provide exceptional care for generations of patients, sharing in the ups and downs, the ultimate comebacks, and the peaceful goodbyes.

Rooted deeply in its history, Heart of Chelsea has maintained a steadfast bond with our community. Our commitment reaches beyond the boundaries of animal medicine, as we actively sponsor and participate in local events, engage in neighborhood park clean-ups, contribute to rescue and adoption efforts, and swiftly respond whenever assistance is required.

911 Help

During the tragic 9/11 efforts, our founder, Dr. Marc Siebert, sprang into action by administering fluid therapy to dehydrated animals at Ground zero and providing vital care during an unimaginable time.

Heart of Chelsea has participated in the Tompkins Square Dog Park Halloween Parade for decades. As the primary sponsor in 2019, we happily took on the responsibility of ensuring this annual event would continue to spread its joy to our community. We were featured by NY1, The Brooklyn Vegan and AM New York where we were quoted as “flying in like superhero's” for donating nearly $18,000 to keep the parade afloat.

We proudly support the North Shore Animal League's Walk and Wag event, which raises vital funds to assist animals in need.

As pets with better dental health tend to be adopted at a faster rate, we proudly offer discounted dental procedures to sheltered pets from the Animal Care Center of NYC.

Our commitment extends to the Greenwich Village Little League, where we sponsor The Spurs, an all-girls softball team. Go Spurs!!

Collaborating with multiple rescue organizations, we play a crucial role in providing essential care to fostered pets, facilitating their journey toward adoption.

In our dedication to education, we contribute by speaking at career day events in local schools while sponsoring silent auction prizes for their fundraising efforts.

Standing in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, we actively participate in the NYC Pride Parade and regularly join the AIDS Walk, demonstrating our unwavering support for these causes.

As we celebrate this significant landmark, we express our heartfelt gratitude to the pets and their families who have entrusted us with their care. We remain passionately committed to providing top-quality, compassionate veterinary services, advancing our knowledge and skills, and making a positive impact in the lives of the community we serve.

Let's hear it for the next 24 years of service, excellence, and community partnership with Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group! We’re so happy to be here.
