Dr. Marlys Larson grew up right here in Seattle, Washington. Her love for animals began at a young age. When other children were watching cartoons, she was glued to Animal Planet which aired many documentaries about exotic animals from poisonous tree frogs in the Amazon to the hunting tactics of lions on the African savanna. Each hour she was transported all over the world and glimpsed the lives of animals she saw in pictures. When she was 14, her family took a trip to Africa, and she got to live her own adventure!
Since then, she’s had an interest in biology which led her to attend veterinary school at Colorado State University. After school she immediately moved back to Seattle to be closer to her family. Although she has set down roots, her sense of adventure has only continued to grow. Dr. Larson’s thirst for adventure has led her to become an avid scuba diver. Whenever she is able to, she likes to escape the busy city for the quiet colorful life 60 ft under the water. Her most recent trip was in Palau where she experienced the iconic Blue Corner dive.
Dr. Larson is passionate about her partnership with clients to provide quality care to their pets. Her goal is to provide the information to empower people to feel confident in making decisions for their pets.
