Dr. Kim Glaser - female veterinarian with long dark wavy hair wearing a white lab coat

Dr. Kimberly Glaser is a New York native whose path to veterinary medicine has been anything but conventional. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, where she focused on poetry and art, before spending several years working in software development and the NYC start-up world. One of the companies she helped build was acquired by Publicis Groupe in 2014. After the acquisition, her interest in medicine took shape while working for a healthcare technology company that developed analytics tools to help New York-area hospital networks improve care for cancer patients.

After completing her pre-veterinary coursework at Columbia University, Dr. Glaser returned to the University of Pennsylvania, this time to attend the School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2025 with a focus on small animal medicine and surgery. Her relationship with Heart of Chelsea, however, began well before veterinary school: she first joined the practice as a veterinary assistant in 2017 and worked here until the pandemic. Coming back now as a veterinarian feels like a wonderful full-circle moment, and she is thrilled to reunite with familiar faces while getting to know a whole new generation of Heart of Chelsea clients and patients.

Dr. Glaser especially enjoys the relationship-driven side of general practice and the privilege of caring for pets throughout the different stages of their lives. Her background outside of veterinary medicine has shaped a practical, collaborative, and strategic approach to patient care, and she believes strongly in giving families the information they need to make thoughtful, individualized decisions for their pets.
