Dr. Jennifer Van Voorhees grew up in Short Hills, New Jersey, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from the University of Vermont. During her time as an undergraduate, she managed the university’s student-run dairy farm where she milked cows and assisted with calvings. Dr. Van Voorhees earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, she completed externships in a variety of fields including shelter medicine, emergency medicine, exotics, and rehabilitation.
Dr. Van Voorhees is very excited to join the wonderful team at Heart of Chelsea. Dr. Van Voorhees has a passion for client education, and the interpersonal relationships built with clients are her favorite part of her job. Her clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, and preventative care. Dr. Van Voorhees lives in Brooklyn with her partner, talkative cat Misty, and corgi Waffles. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the city with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and attending live music events.
