Dr. Daniela Leuthold grew up in Westchester County. Her passion for all animals started early with being an avid competitive equestrian and deepened during her undergraduate years, where she volunteered at local animal shelters and wildlife rehabilitation centers with rhinos in South Africa. When her first dog was diagnosed with cancer, she became very invested in her treatment and responsible for her home care.

Dr. Leuthold obtained her bachelor’s degree at Cornell University in Animal Science. She then attended the Royal Veterinary College at the University of London, earning her veterinary degree and becoming a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Afterwards, she returned to New York and completed a small animal rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center. Then, she completed a specialty internship in medical oncology at the Animal Medical Center.

Her specialty interests in veterinary medicine include emergency medicine, medical oncology, internal medicine, and surgery. She currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and Australian Labradoodle, Cooper. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, traveling the world, spending time with family and friends, and trying new restaurants!
