Dr. Daley McGhee grew up in Camarillo, California, in a house that was never short on animals — hamsters, birds, fish, dogs, and cats all had a place under her roof. That early, all-in love of animals set her on a path she never strayed from. Before she ever earned her white coat, she learned the field from the ground up: first as an assistant at a mixed-animal practice, then as a client service representative at the UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital while completing her undergraduate degree. Having worked nearly every role in a veterinary hospital, she brings a rare, whole-picture understanding to the way she cares for both pets and their people.
Dr. McGhee earned her DVM from Colorado State University in 2026, where she volunteered at a low-cost surgery clinic and performed more than 300 surgeries before graduating. She is Fear Free Certified and RECOVER (BLS/ALS) certified, with a special interest in internal medicine, feline medicine, and soft tissue surgery. After vet school, she traded Southern California for Seattle, where she lives with her beagle mix, Koda, and her two cats, Clementine and Blueberry. When she isn’t in the clinic, you’ll likely find her out on a trail with Koda, deep in a fantasy series like The Stormlight Archive with a cat curled in her lap, or working on her latest crochet project.
What sets the tone for Dr. McGhee’s care is a genuine open door. “No question or concern is too small — I will literally never be bothered,” she says, and she means it. She treats every patient as if it were one of her own: “If I’m seeing your pet, you can know I’m providing the best possible care and holding myself to the highest standards.” For Dr. McGhee, the most rewarding part of the job is exactly that — making animals and their families feel comfortable and cared for, like one of her own.
