Dr. Christina Romero was born and raised in Harlem, NY, where her animal-loving parents fostered her early affinity for cats and dogs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cornell University before pursuing veterinary studies at Ross University in St. Kitts, West Indies. As a college graduate, Dr. Romero gained invaluable experience working as a veterinary technician in small private practices, where she developed a greater appreciation for the veterinary field.

After earning her veterinary degree, Dr. Romero completed a rigorous internship at the Animal Medical Center, receiving hands-on training and guidance from board-certified specialists. She then returned to one of the hospitals where she had previously worked as a technician on the Upper West Side, this time as a staff veterinarian.

After gaining 5 years of experience in general practice, Dr. Romero eventually moved into the role of a relief veterinarian, offering her services across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. This opportunity provided her with the chance to serve a wide variety of neighborhoods and clients and enhanced her ability to connect with pets and their families with diverse needs.

Dr. Romero has a heartfelt commitment to senior pet care and has special interest in wound management. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Romero enjoys home improvement projects, live comedy shows, cooking, and traveling.
