Debra LVT

Following a career in publishing, Debra got a job in client services at a veterinary hospital in NYC. She became inspired by the licensed technicians there, and this led her back to school to start a new and challenging career in veterinary medicine. She obtained her New York State veterinary technician license in 2010 and is Fear Free Certified. She appreciates the collaborative environment here at HOC; it makes her feel at home and there’s a sense of encouragement and an eagerness to learn and bring new ideas to the table that make it uniquely rewarding. One of Debra’s favorite things about her job is being in the dental technician’s chair. She learns a lot from that particular role, which also allows her to help provide low-cost dental care to shelter animals. Outside of the hospital, Debra enjoys restorative yoga, video games, and dancing to 80s music.
