Veterinary Assistant

Edgar was born in the Bronx and raised in Washington Heights. He recently earned his Master’s Degree in Animal Behavior and Conservation from CUNY Hunter College, where he completed his thesis on the effect of ultraviolet B on the behavior of turtles (hopefully published soon). He has worked at veterinary hospitals in New York as well as some of our local zoos as a zoo keeper. When not helping better the lives of our 4 and sometimes 3 legged friends, he enjoys spending time outdoors taking pictures of animals, hiking, and snowboarding.
